In search for a style: Children's Books Ilustrations

What I mostly look into these beautiful illustration is the colour, the shapes, the style and the vriety of textures used . I picked the ones that remind me of the inside of the human body-or more likely the human body  through a microscope. I am going to experiment in Photoshop using these images as referece and wil hopefully come up with a few good examples.
